Overview
This course is appropriate for both the newcomer and the more experienced practitioner. The lecturer will give a scientific explanation of acupuncture and why acupuncture works for pain management. He will also explain the terms ‘Qi’ and ‘Mai’ according to the Hung Di Nei Jing. Students will learn the theory of Distal Needling Acupuncture℠ (DNA℠) as well as its pros and cons. It will be explained why DNA works for the treatment of pain. Students will learn how to treat pain in the lower body with DNA and associated point prescriptions will be given. Pains in the abdomen, groin, psoas, legs, feet and lower back will be covered. The lecturer will also provide herbal prescriptions for treating pains in the lower body.
